Greyhound of the Week – Maggie

Posted on Posted in All Blogs, Greyhound Stuff

Greyhound name: Maggie

Why I chose to adopt: I have a passion for rescuing animals, specifically dogs, and after learning about Greyhounds and their racing pasts I knew I had to do something to help at least one dog. I was compelled to adopt.

How I adopted: I adopted Maggie through “Greyhounds of Eastern Michigan (GEM)” my local Greyhound adoption group.

What makes me love her: Everything. I can’t possibly narrow it down to one thing. She is the sweetest cuddle bug there is and her temperament and personality are just the greatest!

Her funny quirks: She’s an absolute attention hog. All attention must be on her 24/7! I think she’s part deer as well, as she’s always leaping over the couch at a million miles an hour when she’s excited! And she has the cutest snaggletooth that hangs out when she sleeps!

I just love her more than anything and I’m so glad we both came into each other’s lives. It really is a match made in heaven with me and Maggie. I’m so glad I can give her a second chance at life and allow her to live as a dog truly should, and she’s enriched my life more than I can possibly describe.

Thank you for reading about our greyhound of the week Maggie!
